Created by Crucible Industries—an undisputed leader in the manufacture of high-performance specialty steels—CRU-WEAR's advanced alloy composition allows it to excel in applications that require greater wear resistance than D2, more toughness than M2 high speed steel, or both. To further maximize the performance of this alloy, the enhanced version of CRU-WEAR used in the blade of this knife is produced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which minimizes alloy separation and ensures an ultra-fine, highly homogeneous grain structure. In a knife blade, that translates to amazing toughness and the ability to take and hold an outstanding edge.
Proudly featuring Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole™, the full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade of this Para 3 is supported by our signature Compression Lock mechanism, nested stainless steel liners, and light gray textured G-10 handle scales specially reserved for Spyderco’s elite family of CRU-WEAR knives.
